Dear Readers,
Passover and Pentecost have passed, summer is just starting, and we are already off to a busy season of laboring in the Father’s fields. In late May our 16-year-old daughter Betsy did volunteer work for a week at a camp for people with mental and/or physical disabilities. The camp was sponsored by Special Touch Ministries, a Christian organization that ministers to people with disabilities. A special thanks to all the people in our local congregation who donated toward Betsy’s expenses.
Our eldest daughter, Shoshanna, is scheduled to leave Jerusalem June 25, and should be home, God willing, before this issue reaches readers. Shoshanna went to Israel last August and spent her junior year of college at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. This fall she will start her senior year at Bradley University in Peoria. Our son Benjamin just graduated from a local 2-year college, and plans to transfer to Southern Illinois University, where he will pursue a degree in journalism. Update on Autumn Sunshine, our baby with Down syndrome: She is doing well. She just had an evaluation of her physical abilities, and her gross motor skills and fine motor skills are both in the normal range for babies without any disabilities. So her motor skills are progressing at a normal rate in spite of her Down syndrome.
Looking ahead, we plan to be at the MIA Conference in Orlando later this summer, and hope to see some of you there. See ad on page 11. In preparation for the MIA Conference, I am getting this issue out ahead of time, and hope to get the “Rev. Twistruth” comic book printed before the conference. For information about our Feast of Tabernacles this fall, see page 16.
In our local congregation, we have been going through HaYesod, a 14-week video teaching course offered by First Fruits of Zion. I highly recommend the course, especially for people who are just coming into an understanding of the Hebraic roots of their faith. It’s a great way to introduce the concept of the Torah for New Covenant believers without diminishing the centrality of Yeshua as the Living Torah. For information, call FFOZ toll free at 888-237-4384 or see www.hayesod.org
I have not traveled anywhere as a guest speaker for quite some time. In recent months it seems like the Spirit may be nudging me to travel. If you are interested in having me as a guest speaker at your congregation, conference, camp, etc., give me a call.
Thank you to all of you who send donations to keep this publication going. We appreciate your support.
